Common Fertility Preservation Options for Males:

 

  • Sperm cryopreservation is a routine, highly reliable, and well-established approach for post-pubertal male patients.
  • In post-pubertal cancer patients who cannot ejaculate, an office-based sperm extraction can be performed under local anesthesia.
  • Microsurgical testicular sperm extraction can be carried out in post-pubertal males as young as 12 years of age who cannot produce a sample by masturbation.
